What Happens When You Don’t Have Monthly Bookkeeping
You don’t actually know your numbers.
You’ve got a rough sense of what’s in the bank, but you couldn’t say with confidence what you made last month or whether you’re actually profitable.
You’re making decisions in the dark
Should you raise your rates? Can you afford to hire? Is that new expense worth it? Without real numbers, you’re deciding based on gut feeling instead of facts.
Tax season means starting from scratch
A full year of transactions, all at once, right when your CPA’s rate is highest and your patience is lowest.

What You Get With Monthly Bookkeeping
Starting at $300 a month, monthly bookkeeping keeps your finances organized and current all year.
Transaction Recording & Categorization
Every transaction gets recorded and categorized correctly, and deductible expenses get flagged as they happen, not hunted down at tax time.
Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation
Your accounts get reconciled against your actual statements each month, so your QuickBooks balance matches your bank balance. No drift, no surprises.
Monthly P&L and Balance Sheet Reports
You’ll get clear reports every month that show your real profit, the numbers you actually use to run your business.

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT MONTHLY BOOKKEEPING
How much does monthly bookkeeping cost?
Monthly bookkeeping starts at $300 a month for basic service, which typically covers one or two accounts with lower transaction volume. Final pricing depends on your specific needs, which we’ll go over during your free consultation.
What if my books aren't in good shape right now?
That’s common, and it’s not a problem. If your books need cleanup before we start monthly service, I offer cleanup and catch-up services to get you current first, then transition you straight into monthly bookkeeping.
Do I need to already be using QuickBooks Online?
No. If you’re on QuickBooks Desktop, another platform, or nothing at all, I’ll help you get set up on QuickBooks Online as part of onboarding.
What's the difference between monthly bookkeeping and a one-time cleanup?
Monthly bookkeeping keeps you current going forward with ongoing reconciliation and reporting. Cleanup addresses past records that have fallen behind. Many clients start with cleanup, then move into monthly service.
Will I actually understand my financial reports?
Yes. Reports are explained in plain terms, and if anything is unclear, just ask and I’ll break it down for you.
Do you work with businesses outside California?
Yes. I work with clients across California, Oregon, and Washington through remote QuickBooks Online services.
